Last weekend our youth group Revolution Youth ventured up to Pinecrest for yet another Winter Camp. This year was indeed a very moving year for our group. This year was based on being Rooted in Christ. Our group grew so much closer while being up on that mountain. What is even more encouraging and uplifting is seeing everyone leave changed, and still pursuing that change that has been made in them. One thing some of you may not know about me is, I have a huge heart for our youth. I love being apart of events and outreaches like this. I love the wacky games, the amazing worship, waking up at the crack of dawn just for the leader meetings, the message, and most importantly the altar calls, thats what gets to me the most. Is seeing people give there lives to Christ.
I had Sabrina take this photo for me, and i just edited it a bit, she did an amazing job :)
"Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." -(Colossians 2:7)
We had a few hours of free time before one of the Sessions. Decided to venture out in the woods to find some good sledding hills with these four ladies. We had about 6 inches of snow Saturday night. I had an awesome time getting lost, with no reception on my phone the whole weekend.
This is me, Brandon, and Candice! My beanie was made by Krochet Kids. They have an amazing story behind what they do. Some very amazing and sweet people. I highly suggest you check them out!
Our Youth Pastor Nate hahah!
He seriously is so awesome! Our youth group and church wouldn't be anything without him!
